About nutrition science and dietetics

There is growing demand around the world for nutrition scientists who are able to understand the ways food and nutrition can prevent disease and promote good health in local and global populations. In practice, this study has a wide variety of applications, including food and nutrition promotion, meal and menu development, sustainable food production, public health, and food policy and regulation. A degree in nutrition science can be used as a pathway toward a career as a dietician through postgraduate studies. An essential component of allied health, dietitians use evidence-based practice to assist people and populations with acute, chronic or complex health conditions.

A client-centred approach

Be part of the prevention, recovery and rehabilitation of people and populations in need. Work with populations who have chronic and complex health conditions to develop safe and effective nutrition interventions that lead to life-improving results.
